About Following Eugène
An on-going series of installations, events, and objects inspired by research in to the life and art of Swedish artist Eugène Jansson (1862 – 1915).
During 2025/26 a new chapter of the project will be developed and presented in Uppsala, Sweden. This chapter, entitled A Spring Outing, investigates the cultural, social, political, and physical context of Eugène’s participation in the Artists’ Union’s 1907 Spring Exhibition, Uppsala where he first exhibited his male nudes.
